Are you passionate about cybersecurity and would like to inspire the next generation? WiCyS San Diego is seeking dedicated volunteers to help our Affiliate teach Girl Scouts of all ages about digital safety and cyber skills. Our involvement with the Girl Scouts began as a small gesture, thanks to the vision of our very own Veronica Rauch, WiCyS San Diego’s former Director of Programs. What started as a modest effort with just one troop has blossomed into a powerful collaborative initiative in helping multiple Girl Scouts earn their badges in Cybersecurity Basics, Cybersecurity Safeguards, and Cybersecurity Investigator. Today, we work closely with the Girl Scouts organization, local troops, and the San Diego Cyber Center of Excellence to make a real impact.

Daisy Girl Scouts learn foundational concepts about computers, staying safe, and how they connect to the digital world
Brownie Girl Scouts delve into understanding how technology works, creating layers of security, and using real-life safety rules online.

Junior Girl Scouts explore computer networks, online identity protection, and becoming cybersecurity investigators to spot threats.

Senior Girl Scouts dive into more advanced topics, exploring professional roles, data protection strategies, and incident response.
