  • FRSecure’s FREE CISSP Mentor Program – This Free CISSP Training Program is meant to help those interested to prepare for the CISSP certification exam.
  • Try Hack Me – Gamified Cybersecurity training. Free rooms (courses) available.

  • Sans.org – In-person, live online, and on-demand Cybersecurity training

  • San Diego Public Library – online certificate prep such as A+ and Network+ available. Start dates are every month. Must obtain a free library card.

  • ISC2 – currently giving out the course Certified in Cybersecurity for free for the first 1 million users who sign up.

  • San Diego College of Continuing Education – San Diego College offers a Certificate of Completions for Cybersecurity Analyst and Cyber Threat Response. Classes are perfect for working adults as they occur during the evenings. Some classes are online, and others are hyflex.

  • San Diego Regional Cyber Lab – A place for individuals to practice their Cybersecurity skills in a live environment. Windows and Mac hosts are available. Forensics hardware and software used by law enforcement are available as well.

  • MITRE ATT&CK®– globally-accessible knowledge base of adversary tactics and techniques based on real-world observations. The ATT&CK knowledge base is used as a foundation for developing specific threat models and methodologies in the private sector, in government, and in the cybersecurity product and service community.

  • Hacksplaining – easy-to-read and understand explanations of vulnerabilities. Registration unlocks other free lessons.

  • OSINT Framework – OSINT (open source intelligence) framework focused on gathering information from free tools or resources.

  • The National Initiative for Cybersecurity Careers and Studies (NICCS) – This is an online resource for cybersecurity training that connects Government employees, students, educators, and industry with cybersecurity training providers throughout the Nation. Public courses available.

  • Hack the Box – leading gamified cybersecurity upskilling, certification, and talent assessment software platform enabling individuals, businesses, government institutions, and universities to sharpen their offensive and defensive security expertise.

  • FedVTE – The Federal Virtual Training Environment (FedVTE) provides free online cybersecurity training to federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial government employees, federal contractors, and US military veterans.

  • Purdue Univ Northwest – Free Online Cybersecurity Workforce Certification Training. Open to USA citizens and permanent residents.
